RoadtripMojo first met our latest hammock winner at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park’s Suwannee Rising music festival last spring. Kym Campbell Eckard and husband, Joe, were camping on the Loop two spots down from us. Looking to upgrade your camper’s stereo system? Aren’t we all? We met a couple at Lockn’ Music Festival – Kris Hall and Nick Mullins – who mostly gutted the stereo in their travel trailer and installed a serious system. Their story is below. Warning: Audiophiles will dig the depth of detail Nick queued up. Others’ eyes may glaze over. Pro Tip: Even if you don’t have a camper or care about AV, find people like Kris and Nick who do. They’ll have the best sound around.
RoadtripMojo spent a few hours at the West Palm Beach RV Show last weekend scouting new rigs and products for the campsite and music festival fair grounds. We dig walking RV shows. Did one a month ago. There’ll be another in a month or two. Yeah, we’re kinda quirky that way.
Take 80 acres in rural Virginia an hour’s drive out of Roanoke. Drop in a line-up of the top musicians and acts from across the jam, blues, bluegrass, Zydeco, Appalacian, and Americana space. Create scenic views from the Blue Ridge Plateau that would make a National Geographic photographer’s shutter finger envious.
