When #RoadtripMojo told our fans and followers to “set them dogs up and take a load off” to enter our Music Festival Camping Chair Giveaway, dozens of you did just that. We had plenty of entries and lotsa likes. But – alas – only one would win. That was Matt Collins.
The Roanoke, Virginia, resident and avid festival goer Liked our post, tagged some pals, and was chosen at random to win the Kelty Lowdown camping chair.
To hear Matt tell it, “I love the festival life, always need a good relaxing chair to pop a squat after shakin’ them feet all day!!”
His first festival was in Ohio for ekhoostic hooka. “My life views def changed that weekend for sure,” he admits.
Matt’s been going to Floyd Fest in rural Virginia for the last six years or so (read RoadtripMojo’s Sit Down with the Producers here).
Matt’s seen his unscheduled festival mayhem. He went to the Terrapin Hill Farm Festival years ago where after the first day, a flash flood come through and shut the festival down. “A lot of us got trapped by water. Red Cross was trying to boat people away but no one went,” he said. “We all had instruments and jammed out.”
That’s the spirit!!
Many entered. Sadly, only one could win. Gladly, tho’, it was a seasoned festival goer like Matt. He now has a place to pop a squat after shakin’ hit feet all day.
And Hooplah! and the smack of High Fives were heard across the festival grounds!
